TRUSSVILLE — The Trussville Police Department has identified a man killed in a crash on Wednesday, Aug. 7, 2019.
Tyrone Lowe, 21, of Clay, crashed his Nissan Altima on Interstate 59, near mile marker 142, which is mid-way between the I-459 junction and the Chalkville Mountain Road exit.
According to Trussville Police, Lowe lost control in the northbound lane, the car flipped several times and ended up in the southbound lane. Trussville PD Detective Ben Short said Lowe was ejected from the vehicle. No other cars were involved in the crash.
The crash happened at 2:35 p.m. and Lowe was taken to St. Vincent’s East. Lowe was pronounced dead at 3:17 p.m.
Lowe was the only person in the vehicle.
