The Steve Serra Automotive Group has donated $100,000 to the Boys and Girls Club of Central Alabama (BGCCA). The giant check will be presented to BGCCA with the donation at 4 p.m. Sept. 5, 2019.
The Steve Serra Automotive Group has continued to support the central Alabama community for over 30 years, with a primary philanthropic focus on children in need, including Ronald McDonald House Charities, Alabama’s Make-A-Wish Foundation and the popular perfect attendance car giveaway in which a local high school student with perfect attendance and great grades receives a new vehicle.
The Boys and Girls Club of Central Alabama has been assisting children for over 115 years through academic, leadership and health programs. Their mission is “to enable and motivate all youth within a safe environment to reach their full potential as productive, caring, and responsible citizens.” BGCCA has seen a high success rate (98%) of teen members graduate from high school with a plan for future education.
“This organization does such a wonderful job impacting the youth in the community,” said Steve Serra. “And we hope this donation will help with their cause. It’s important in our organization to always give back.”
