BIRMINGHAM — YWCA Central Alabama is taking applications for the 2019 – 2020 Building Communities, Bettering Lives AmeriCorps program.
The program is all about helping those in need. Women and men 21-years-old and over are encouraged to apply for paid positions helping the homeless, victims of domestic violence, youth and those fighting inequality.
There are 42 positions available. All positions are compensated and rewarding with benefits including a stipend of $1,100 per month/pre-taxes, an education award of $6,095, no-cost individual health insurance, childcare subsidy, student loan forbearance, and extensive professional development and training.
