Detective Ben Short said the two men were spotted in a red Jeep that was reported stolen out of Lincoln. When officers approached the vehicle, around 2:30 p.m., one of the men took off on foot. Short said one of the officers apprehended the man before he got out of the parking lot.
The two people arrested will face charges of receiving stolen property. The man that ran from officers will also face charges of failure to obey and possession of a forged instrument. Short said the man was carrying 48 fake $100 bills.
