TRUSSVILLE — Trussville City Schools has gained the status of “District of Distinction” by the “District Administration” magazine.
An article in the magazine honored 34 school districts nationwide and TCS was one of them. The honor goes to school districts that are leading the way with new ideas that solve challenges.
Trussville City Schools was recognized for the outstanding School Safety, Mental Health, Character Education and Suicide Prevention all in one P.A.C.E program.
The P.A.C.E. program, Positive Attitudes Change Everything, is a student-driven character education program instituted throughout the system.
Trussville City Schools Superintendent Dr. Pattie Neill said she is very proud of the program.
“I am very excited and proud of our P.A.C.E. program components throughout our school system,” she said. “The positive effect on student behavior is a vital element in the teaching and learning process. We have wonderful students, parents, and faculty and staff who believe in our P.A.C.E. program and implement it to fidelity. This is a great honor for our system! Thank you District Administration magazine for recognizing our outstanding school system.”
