LAKE WEDOWEE — The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency said one person was killed on Lake Wedowee on the morning of Sunday, July 14, 2019.
ALEA Marine Patrol and local rescue squads were on the scene.
Two jet skis collided, killing a father and injuring his daughter. The man killed was approximately 53-years-old. ALEA said his 17-year-old daughter suffered a leg amputation. She was taken from the scene by a medical helicopter.
The two boaters are from Atlanta. The family did not want their names released.
There were no other vessels or persons involved in this incident. ALEA Marine Patrol Troopers are working the investigation.
