TUSCALOOSA — Two teenagers are facing multiple charges after a body was discovered in a car in Tuscaloosa.
One of the teens, 14 years old, will be charged with murder. The other teen, 15 years old, will be charged with theft and abuse of a corpse, as well as obstructing governmental operations, according to ABC 33/40.
ABC 33/40 reported that calls about an abandoned vehicle prompted police to respond to the 3700 block of 25th Street during the afternoon hours of Sunday, June 9. Once on scene, authorities discovered the body of a deceased female in the back seat of the vehicle. Police said it appeared that the female had been shot.
Tips made to The Tuscaloosa Violent Crimes Unit informed authorities on individuals possibly involved with the incident. Using the tips, investigators were able to make arrests and come up with charges.
