MCCALLA — The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office arrested a man in connection with his wife’s death.
Belton Eugene Nettles, 39, of McCalla, is charged with capital murder.
Nettles’ wife, Linda Cole Jackson, 52, was killed on Sunday, May 26, 2019.

Deputies were called to a home in the 4700 block of Longmeadow Drive at 3:14 a.m. The home is in the Letson Farms subdivision. Investigators determined Jackson died as a result of a domestic incident.
Nettles is being held in the Jefferson County Jail with no bond.
