In loving memory of Lois W. Kenrick
Mrs. Lois Almeda Wilson Kendrick, age 92, a resident of Trussville, departed this life on Friday morning May 10, 2019, in the comfort of her residence following a period of declining health.
She was born August 14, 1926, in Emporia, VA, a daughter of the late Lonnie & Francis Wilson.
She was preceded in death by husbands James Collins Dickerson and Anthony Wayne ‘Pinky’ Kendrick. She is survived by four children, Duane Collins Dickerson, Lois Diane Wade and husband Bill, Jamise D Perdue and James Wilson Dickerson and wife Linda, four grandchildren, James Joshua Dickerson and wife Melissa, Michael Jason Dickerson, Jessie Wayne Dickerson and wife Erin and David Winston Sims and wife Julie, and six great-grandchildren, R J Robinstein, Zoey Dickerson, Riley Dickerson, Wyatt Dickerson, Emma Rose Dickerson and Aiden McLane. In addition to her husbands and parents, she was preceded in death by her brother Kenneth Wilson and sister, Vangie Fordham of North Carolina.
She was a member of the Argo Christian Fellowship Church and was an active member until her health would no longer allow it. Lois loved watching her Blue Birds raise their young in one of her birdhouses in the yard and she would faithfully hang her hummingbird feeder every year and keep it filled. She enjoyed watching them while sitting on her screened in porch.
She was loved by many and will be greatly missed by all who knew her and loved her. She has requested to be cremated.
