BIRMINGHAM — Birmingham Police detectives are investigating a homicide that happened on Sunday, April 28, 2019.
Shot Spotter alerted police to the 2800 block of Bessemer Road around 6:30 p.m. Officers found a man suffering from a gunshot wound in the doorway of a car detail shop. The man was pronounced dead on the scene by Birmingham Fire and Rescue.
The victim was identified as Omari Sharad Pollnitz, 38, of Birmingham.
No suspects are in custody in connection.
