TRUSSVILLE — Trussville City Schools was one of six school districts in Alabama to be recognized by the NAMM Foundation for music education.
This is the fourth straight year for TCS to earn the designation.
According to the foundation website, the award program recognizes outstanding efforts by teachers, administrators, parents, students and community leaders who have made music education part of a well-rounded education. Designations are made to districts and schools that demonstrate an exceptionally high commitment and access to music education.
Also chosen for the award in Alabama were the Albertville City Schools, Birmingham City Schools, Gadsden City Schools, Homewood City Schools and Vestavia Hills City Schools.
Across the nation, 623 school districts were selected among the best communities in the nation for music education.
