Mrs. Joan Coe Dillon, age 88, passed away Friday, March 22, 2019. She was born April 29, 1930 in Birmingham, Alabama to Thomas and Katherine Malpeli Coe. Mrs. Dillon was a resident of Miramar Beach , since December 2014 moving from Birmingham, Alabama. She was Presbyterian by faith and a member of the Cumberland Presbyterian Church.

She was a loving mother, wife, grandmother, Aunt, she was a friend to many, she was an excellent cook. She was a last surviving child of nine. Mrs. Dillon was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 63 years, Phillip Ralph Dillon; two brothers, Frank Coe and Bill Coe; six sisters, Inez C. Harris, Mary C. Allen, Myrtie C. Mumah, Violet C. Scott, Evelyn C. Berzette and Helen C. Garrick. Mrs. Dillon is survived by sons, Phil Dillon and wife Leslie of Trussville, Alabama and Lee Dillon of Miramar Beach, Florida; daughter, Dian D. Hosmer and husband Jimmy of Miramar Beach, Florida; five grandchildren, Tyler Dillon, Cole Dillon, Stone Dillon, Katie Dillon, Madison; also survived by several nieces and nephews.
A time of visitation will be held from 6:00~8:00 PM, Wednesday, March 27, 2019 at Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home and Gardens in Trussville, Alabama. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM, Thursday, March 27, 2019 at Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home and Gardens. Burial will follow in Forest Hill Cemetery.
