JACKSONVILLE, Ala. — March 19 marked one year since an EF-3 tornado ripped through the city of Jacksonville, destroying buildings in its path.
Jacksonville State University used the anniversary to give back. The JSU Office of Community Engagement organized a supply drive for survivors of the Lee County tornado. The Calhoun County EMA is working with the school to collect work gloves, yard rakes, sunscreen, lip balm, plastic storage totes, chainsaw fuel mix and chainsaw bar oil.

The Freshman Forum is also collecting donations for the Boys and Girls Club of Lee County. They are asking for school supplies and toiletries for children.
The drive runs through March 22. Items can be dropped off in the TMB Auditorium or with Keaton Glass in the Dean of Students Office on the 4th floor of the TMB.
