BIRMINGHAM — A police car chase through East Lake on Wednesday night ended with a crash and three people arrested, according to Birmingham Police.
The vehicle, which fit the description of one used in recent criminal activity, was driving erratically and running red lights, according to a report by WVTM.
Police attempted to pull the vehicle over and the chase ensued.
The vehicle eventually crashed in front of a business on Oporto-Madrid Boulevard and ended up on the sidewalk. Police closed the road out of concerns of a possible gasoline leak at the crash site.
The suspects were checked out by paramedics at the scene and taken into custody.
