ST. CLAIR COUNTY — Weather permitting, on Jan. 9, beginning at approximately 9 a.m., the Alabama Department of Transportation will begin Guardrail Repairs on Interstate Routes in St. Clair County as follows:
The repairs will begin on I-20 from the Jefferson/St. Clair County line to the St. Clair/Talladega County line. After the repairs are complete on I-20, they will continue on I-59 from the Jefferson/St. Clair County line to the St. Clair Springs/AL-23 exit.
These repairs will take approximately one week to complete and will require lane closures in the work zone. Lane closures will re-open each day at 4 p.m.
Motorists can expect delays during these operations. Motorists are also requested to consider using alternate routes, adjust arrival/departure times, observe work zone speed limits and other work zone signs, and use extreme caution in this area.
