CENTER POINT — An apartment fire on Friday morning in Center Point killed one and injured two others, according to Carol Robinson of Al.com.
Robinson reported that Center Point firefighters responded to the blaze at 1935 East Bend Circle just after 12 a.m. Responders discovered heavy fire coming from two of the units on the first floor.
Two victims, able to depart the burning apartments on their own, were transported to St. Vincent’s East and are not facing life threatening injuries. One victim was not able to escape the blaze and appears to have died in the fire, according to Robinson.
