TRUSSVILLE – According to a message sent from Hewitt-Trussville Principal Dr. Lisa Berry to faculty, a student has allegedly threatened to create a “hit list” for Hewitt-Trussville Middle School. The student and the incident are currently under investigation.
According to allegations, a student has threatened to create a hit list at HTMS.
The student has been identified by authorities and is not attending HTMS at this time, according to the message sent to faculty and parents.
Dr. Berry said in the message that there is not a hit list posted on social media, but there is a threat to create a hit list.
The Trussville Police Department has been informed of the matter. Also, the Threat Assessment Protocol has been initiated, according to Dr. Berry’s message.
Trussville police Lt. Phil Dillon said that the matter is under investigation.
