CULLMAN — A single-vehicle crash at 4 a.m. on Sunday has claimed the life of Cullman man, Brandon Adam Hamm, who was charged earlier this year in the fatal crash that killed the daughter of Alabama District 51 Representative.
According to the Alabama State Troopers Office, Hamm, 33, was seriously injured when the 2003 Acura MDX he was driving left the roadway on Cullman County 1212 and struck a tree. Hamm, who was not wearing a seatbelt, was ejected and later airlifted to Huntsville Hospital.
On Monday, October 8, Hamm died due to injuries suffered in the crash. The crash occurred four miles west of Cullman.
Earlier this year Hamm was indicted on a charge of manslaughter in the crash that occurred on February 25 that killed 31-year-old Kelsey Treadaway, the volleyball coach at Mortimer Jordan High School, and injured co-worker Shawn Maze, Mortimer Jordan’s head softball coach.
Nothing further is available as Alabama State Troopers continue to investigate.
