HAMILTON – The Alabama Highway Patrol (ALEA) reported this morning that a single vehicle crash in Marion County has claimed the life of a Mississippi man.
The crash occurred on I-22 in Marion County, approximately 2 miles east of Winfield, on Thursday, August 9th, at approximately 3:45 pm.
Lilbren Ray Higginbottom, a 55 year old of Fulton, Mississippi, was killed when his 2002 Ford E350 van left the roadway, struck a guardrail, and overturned. Higginbottom was not wearing a seatbelt. Higginbottom was pronounced dead at the scene.
No further information was available as State Troopers continue to investigate.
