SHELBY COUNTY – A single-vehicle crash at 4:09 p.m. Friday has claimed the life of a Sterrett man.
The crash occurred on County Road 55, four miles north of Westover.
Kristopher Roger Gardner, 37, was killed when the 2009 Chevrolet Silverado he was driving left the roadway and overturned. Gardner was not wearing a seatbelt and was ejected form the vehicle, and was pronounced dead on the scene.
Alabama State Troopers are continuing to investigate.

I don’t think it is necessary to mention he wasn’t wearing a seat belt….those who know him are in enough pain already.

Thank you for your input. Whether a traffic fatality was wearing a seat belt or not is mentioned in almost every press release we receive from the Alabama State Troopers office. As such, it will be mentioned in every story reported by The Trussville Tribune as a constant reminder to wear seat belts.
