JEFFERSON COUNTY – The Jefferson County Board of Education announced a new human resources director on Tuesday.
Jeff Caufield has been serving as interim HR director, and on Tuesday the Jefferson County Board of Education voted to make it permanent.
This comes after former HR director Brett Kirkham resigned from his position after allegations of having sex with a student and possession of child pornography came to light. Kirkham has been indicted on multiple charges and has since pleaded not guilty. He officially resigned from his position with the BOE on September 30.
