SNEAD – A two-vehicle crash on Monday around 6 p.m. has claimed the life of a Cullman man.
The crash occurred on U.S. 278, four miles west of Snead.
Sammy Glenn Thompson, 72, was killed when the 2005 Chevrolet Colorado he was driving was struck by a 2009 Chevrolet Silverado driven by Jacob Allen Roberts, 21 of Joppa.
Thompson was ejected and pronounced dead on the scene. He was not wearing his seatbelt. A passenger of the Colorado, Marsha Thompson, 70 of Joppa, was airlifted to UAB Hospital.
State Troopers are continuing to investigate.
