The Memphis Police Department confirms the child inside the vehicle that was pulled over matching an AMBER Alert description was 4-year-old Rebecca Lewis.
Wild West Hogs, 31, has been taken into police custody.
The AMBER Alert for a missing 4-year-old from Florida was extended after she was believed to be spotted near the Kentucky border late Sunday night.
WAVE, an affiliate of WBRC, reported she was spotted in Tennessee heading towards Kentucky. She was spotted around 11 p.m. at Cove Lake State Park near I75 in Caryville, Tenn. She was believed to be in “extreme danger.”
Rebecca Ann Lewis was abducted between 8 and 10 a.m. Saturday from her home in Lakeland Florida.
Police said a man named West Wild Hogs, also known as Matthew Clark Pybus, abducted her.
Hogs is 31-years-old, weighs 220 pounds, and is 5’8”. Lewis weighs 30 pounds and is 3’ tall. She has blonde hair and blue eyes, and was wearing a pink dress whens potted Sunday night. Previously, she was wearing blue shorts and a shirt of an unknown color, police said.
Hogs is said to be a family friend of Lewis’s parents, and they hadn’t heard from him in more than two years before he showed up on Friday.
He was driving a 2012 Grey Nissan Versa four-door with Alabama Handicapped plate: 4JL26, which was reported as stolen out of Alabama.
