JEFFERSON COUNTY – The victim from a two vehicle crash on October 6 has been identified.
Jaime Apolinar Lopez Alvarez, 33 of Leeds, was killed when the 2005 Volkswagen Jetta he was driving collided with a tire that came off of a 2006 GMC Yukon.
Alvarez was pronounced dead on the scene, and the driver of the Yukon was not injured.
The crash occurred on I459 North near mile marker 21.
