BIRMINGHAM – The Birmingham Police Department is searching for a gunman, who robbed two Family Dollar stores minutes apart.

The Family Dollar sores at 5401 1st Avenue North and 4420 4th Avenue South were robbed. Police told al.com a black male entered the store with a handgun, demanding money. No shots were fired and no one was injured.
The suspect is described to be wearing a construction vest, blue shirt and jeans. Detectives are expected to release surveillance photos.
