CLAY – Clay-Chalkville point guard Raven Omar has picked up her first scholarship offer.
The University of North Alabama of the Gulf South Conference offered the Lady Cougars standout this past weekend.
Omar’s jumper from the right wing with 1.9 seconds left lifted Clay-Chalkville Cougars over Center Point 30-29 to give CCHS the Class 6A, Area 12 championship last season.
Omar, who will be a senior next season, also plays volleyball.
