PINSON – Friends of the Turkey Creek Nature Preserve invite Pinson residents to the 7th annual Float Your Boat Festival on July 16.

Float Your Boat will offer a 5k trail run, balsa wood boat races, an ice cream give-away, swimming and a fun zone for kids. Admission is free, but donations will be accepted and will go directly to benefit TCNP’s environmental education, youth outreach and habitat preservation programs.
Festivities kick off at 8 a.m. with a trail run, with the family zone opening at 10 a.m. and boat races starting at noon.
More than 2,000 people attended the event in 2015.
