TRUSSVILLE – Hewitt-Trussville track and football star Noah Igbinoghene added an offer from Notre Dame recently and now he’s added a star to his Scout.com profile.
Igbinoghene, who will likely play all over the field this fall for Josh Floyd, is now a four-star recruit, making him what we believe to be the highest-rated player in Hewitt-Trussville history.
The 2017 Scout 300 was updated last week after the spring evaluation period.
Scout lists the 6-foot, 185-pound star as the No. 23- rated athlete in the country and No. 3 in Alabama.
Scout’s latest analysis: “There’s multi-sport athletes all around college football but Igbinoghene is one of those who takes it to another level. He’s a track and field national champion in the triple jump and the son of a pair of Olympians, something that translates well with football. As a wide receiver and a returner, he has great acceleration and straight-line speed, which makes his running after the catch another strength of his game. He has flashed very good ability laterally and it has some thinking he can play running back or even defensive back in college. Igbinoghene’s explosive ability could allow him to line up in multiple places at the next level.
“Igbinoghene is a versatile athlete who recently made the move from wide receiver to running back, and we were impresses. The star athlete … has recently added offers from Minnesota and Notre Dame — expect more to come his way. He is a versatile athlete with great quickness, ball skills and lateral movement. He has emerged as one of the best in Alabama.”
247 Sports also rates him as a four-star. Rivals still lists him as a three-star, but it’s probably just a matter of time before they too bump him up.
Although Alabama and Auburn have shown interest, neither one have offered him as of yet.
