Lisa Blackmon answers Important Legal Questions
Q: Why are fewer attorneys handling Real Estate Closings?
A: As of October 3rd, 2015 a new series of rules regarding mortgages went into effect. The legislation effects lenders, title companies, closing attorneys, home buyers, home sellers, and Real Estate Agents. This legislation was designed to add transparency to the home buying and selling process for consumers, but has added a number of requirements for lenders, closing attorneys, and title companies that will affect the timeline of the closing process. These changes can be costly for attorney offices because added security measures, and division between the seller and buyer are required. Lisa Blackmon and the law offices of Blackmon & Blackmon are fully compliant with all the requirements lenders listed measures. Blackmon & Blackmon legal can handle all of your Real Estate closing needs today.
