SHELBY COUNTY –According to the Alabama State Troopers office, A single-vehicle crash at 2 p.m. on Sunday has claimed the life of a Shelby County woman.
Wendy Etress Johnson, 55, was killed when the 2004 Ford Explorer she was driving left the roadway and struck a tree.
Johnson was transported to Shelby Baptist Hospital where she later died of her injuries.
The crash occurred on Shelby County 46 in the City of Shelby.
Nothing further is available as Alabama State Troopers continue to investigate.
