TRUSSVILLE –Current Trussville city councilman and mayoral candidate Buddy Choat will host a Campaign Kick-Off Rally at the Trussville Civic Center at 3 p.m. Sunday (today).
Choat said the event is open to the public and he looks forward the laying out his plan for the next four years as well as visiting with Trussville residents.
“This is our first public event since announcing that I am running for mayor,” Choat said. “I’ll be be laying out my platform and sharing my vision for the city. Trussville is already one of the best places to live and raise a family, but over the next four years, we will have opportunities to really set ourselves apart as one best cities in Alabama.”
Following a brief presentation, Choat said he would like to spend time with those who attend and hear their thoughts and on their vision for the city. Downtown redevelopment will be key among the topics he wants to discuss with citizens.
“It’s clear that residents want to see the downtown redevelopment move forward and we’re on the verge of some very big and very positive improvements,” Choat said. “I’m excited about sharing the details of that project and getting feedback from our citizens.”
