TRUSSVILLE — The Trussville City Council last week voted to establish a capital projects bank account for the city.
The account will be set up at Bryant Bank on Main Street in Trussville. Councilman Alan Taylor, the bank’s president, recused himself from the vote.
The goal was to establish a bank account separate from the general fund operations account, the proceeds of which will be used for capital projects as agreed upon by the city council.
The city council, at its discretion, may direct that any surplus non-restricted funds of the city not needed for general operations be deposited into this account.
