WBRC FOX 6 News reported Tuesday that the Birmingham Police Department is investigating the sixth homicide of the Labor Day weekend.
According to the television station, officers were on the scene in Ensley, where the latest victim was found shot in the street.
The deadly weekend began Friday when a stabbing victim was found in a burning home, the station reported.
On Friday night, a 50-year-old-male was shot in the head during a robbery while walking through George Ward Park with his wife.
On Sunday, a 70-year-old-woman was found stabbed to death in her Avondale home.
Later, two people were shot and killed outside a motorcycle club Sunday night.
