HARTSELLE — Here is the scoring recap of tonight’s game between Pinson Valley and Hartselle. Check back later for the full game story.
Hartselle opens the scoring with a 73-yard pass from Jake Tiffin to Jaylan Jackson with 10:23 to play in the first quarter. Hartselle leads 7-0.
Pinson Valley answers on a 35-yard touchdown pass from Errius Collins to Trey Underwood. With 4:14 remaining in the first quarter, the score is 7-7.
With 3:14 to play in the first quarter, Hartselle scores on a Tiffin to Jackson 84-yard pass to put Hartselle ahead 14-7.
Pinson scores to tie the game back up on a Collins to Desmond Williams touchdown pass for 33 yards. The score is 14-14 with 8:40 left in the first half.
Pinson Valley takes the lead on a four-yard run by Nick Gibson. With 17 seconds to play before halftime, PVHS leads 21-14.
Halftime: Pinson Valley 21, Hartselle 14
Connor Landers scoops up a Pinson Valley fumble and scores from 21 yards out to tie the game at 21 with 10:04 to go in the third quarter.
Hartselle’s Taylor Easterling fumbles on the 5-yard line and Hartselle’s Mykel Welch covers it in the end zone for a Hartselle touchdown. PAT is no good. With 10:23 to play, Hartselle leads 27-21.
