TRUSSVILLE — Last week’s speaker for the Trussville Rotary Daybreak Club was Eddie Adams, founder of the Fishers for Men Farm.
Growing up on his granddad’s farm, Adams always had a dream of someday owning his own farm. That dream came true, he said, when he was finally able to buy a farm that’s now a Christian family retreat, which also offers a safe place for others to hunt and fish. He and his wife, he said, are “caretakers of God’s farm,” which also provides an opportunity for them to tell others about Jesus Christ.
He challenged Rotary members to ask themselves why they are here and to determine their purpose in life.
Upcoming speakers for the club include Trussville Mayor Gene Melton on Wednesday, Aug. 6 and new Hewitt-Trussville head football coach Josh Floyd on Wednesday, Aug. 13.
The Trussville Rotary Daybreak Club meets for breakfast on Wednesdays at 7 a.m. at the Hilton Garden Inn at 3230 Edwards Lake Parkway in Trussville.
