PINSON — The Pinson City Council voted unanimously last week to hire O. Jay Fence Company to install new facing and repair current fencing at the Pinson Valley Youth Association fields.
The work will be done for $4,917.
Mayor Hoyt Sanders said the repairs being made are “important.” Some wiring is exposed at the bottom of the fences, putting kids and parents in danger in some places. The repairs will be made for the critical areas of all the fields.
“It’s an accident waiting to happen,” Councilman Robbie Roberts said.
