TRUSSVILLE — Longtime Hewitt-Trussville teacher and coach Tim Reeves has been approved by the Jefferson County Board of Education as an assistant principal at Gardendale High School.
The approval is effective Wednesday, July 23.
Reeves, a history and government teacher at Hewitt-Trussville, was the varsity football team’s offensive coordinator for the past eight seasons. Reeves was the varsity basketball coach from 2007 to 2012. In 2012, he led the Huskies to their first regional basketball tournament since 2007.
The school board also approved LaVaris Thomas, a teacher at Opelika Middle School, to an assistant principal position at Pinson Valley High School, effective Wednesday, July 23. Michelle Landrum, an instructional coach at Clay-Chalkville Middle School, was appointed as the instructional assistant principal at Shades Valley High School.
