TRUSSVILLE — The Friends of the Trussville Library will sponsor a book sale July 19-20 and July 26-27 at Filmdog Media’s studio at 412 Walnut St., across the street from Marvin’s in Trussville.
Sale hours will be 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturdays and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sundays the weekends of the sale. Prices will range from 25 cents to $1 for most books, with special but low prices for sets or coffee-table books.
Friends’ book sales, a source of fundraising for the organization, have been held the past several years in the John C. Yarbrough Community Center next door to the Trussville Public Library. The old building, unoccupied and unused for several years, is no longer safe for book-buyers or volunteers working the sales.
“We’re grateful to Marc Ward for letting us use his building for this sale,” said Mary Lynne Robbins, Friends president. “We hope that we’ll have space to sell pre-owned books in the library, once the planned and much-needed addition is completed.”
