GRAYSON VALLEY — The first annual Eagles for Echols Night Golf Tournament is scheduled for Saturday, Aug. 23 at Grayson Valley Country Club.
The four-man scramble tournament benefits the Brad Echols Family Foundation. All proceeds benefit families affected by cancer.
While the tournament is already at capacity for participants — 25 teams — there are still ways to contribute. Hole sponsorships are $100, and the company name will be displayed on a tee box. Tournament sponsorships are $500, and the company name will be displayed on the patio.
In April 2013, Brad Echols, 36, of Trussville, lost his short battle with cancer, leaving behind a wife and two children.
“We are so proud to have this golf tournament as a celebration of his life, but more importantly, as a legacy in his honor that will hopefully impact the world in a profoundly positive way,” reads a portion of the tournament website.
