TRUSSVILLE — The Trussville City Board of Education on Monday approved the new offensive and defensive coordinators for the Hewitt-Trussville varsity football team.
Austin Tucker will be the Huskies new offensive coordinator. He comes to Trussville after four years at Shiloh (Ark.) Christian under Josh Floyd, now the Hewitt-Trussville head coach.

Tucker is a graduate of the University of Arkansas, where he played football from 2007-2010 and earned a bachelor’s degree in education. He started as the holder the last two seasons for the Razorbacks, and also made the SEC Academic Honor Roll.
Tucker also played football at Shiloh Christian High School under Floyd from 2004-2006. He was the MVP of the 2006 state championship game and also lettered in basketball and baseball.
Adam Caine will be the Hewitt-Trussville defensive coordinator after three seasons at Shiloh Christian. A 20-year football coaching veteran, Caine came to Shiloh from The McCallie School in Chattanooga, Tenn., where he also served as linebackers coach. Prior to that, Caine spent nine years coaching at the collegiate level. He served as defensive coordinator at the University of the South and was the special teams coordinator at Samford University. In addition to that, Caine was also an assistant coach at Washington & Lee University and Austin Peay State University. Caine began his coaching career at John Carroll High School in Birmingham as the offensive coordinator.

Caine was an all-city football player at the McCallie School, where he graduated in 1989. He attended Birmingham-Southern College and received a degree in Business. He also obtained a master’s degree in health from Austin Peay State University.
Tucker replaces Tim Reeves, who was the Hewitt-Trussville offensive coordinator for eight years. Caine replaces David Partridge, who was the Hewitt-Trussville defensive coordinator for 10 years.
