TRUSSVILLE — A furniture store has opened in the former Old Navy store location at the Colonial Promenade at Tutwiler Farm shopping center in Trussville.
Memphis-based Royal Furniture opened last week. The store takes 22,000+ square feet at the Trussville location, which is owned by The Kroenke Group based in Columbia, Mo.
Royal Furniture features furnishings for living room, bedroom, dining room, and home office, as well as entertainment and accent pieces, mattresses, appliances, and electronics.

The former Old Navy is now located at The Outlet Shops of Grand River in Leeds.
In other business news, the Birmingham chapter of the National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors named Michael Lynam, of Trussville, one of its recipients of its first annual Top Advisors Under 40 award for 2014.
The award recognizes excellence and achievement in the insurance and financial services field by measuring production and professional consistency in advisors age 40 and under. Lynam is an ambassador for the Trussville Area Chamber of Commerce and a board member on the UAB MBA Alumni Association.
