TRUSSVILLE — Danny Garrett will be the winner of the State House District 44 Republican primary election.
John Amari was calling Garrett to concede the race Tuesday night.
Amari said he supports Garrett. He said he wants to make sure all communities in the district are strong.
“The reason I ran is because I love these communities,” Amari said.
Joe Freeman was also the other candidate running to replace the retiring Arthur Payne.
When all 10 precincts reported, the final results were Garrett with 3,502 votes, Amari with 2,447 and Freeman with 725.
All three men are from Trussville.
