TRUSSVILLE — The building under construction on Valley Road in Trussville will be a dentist’s office.
A sign at the construction site states that the building will be the future home of Boyd Family Dentistry.
The Valley Road area will likely see increased growth when a new road is constructed, connecting Valley Road to the Pinnacle at Tutwiler Farm shopping center. Future plans are to have a three-way intersection on Valley Road, and the new connection will run parallel to Interstate 59.
The road will begin at the sharp curve along Valley Road and emerge behind hhgregg. The goal is to take traffic congestion away from Chalkville Road and U.S. Highway 11.
In other business news, Economic Development Association of Alabama Executive Director Jim Searcy will be the featured speaker June 19 at the Trussville Area Chamber of Commerce luncheon at the Trussville Civic Center.
The chamber’s annual golf tournament is June 24 at 9 a.m. at Limestone Springs Golf Course in Oneonta. The registration fee is 0 for a foursome or 0 for an individual golfer. Registration forms are available at www.trussvillechamber.com.
The chamber is hosting a ribbon cutting for The Sassy Sofa on Thursday, June 5 at 4:30 p.m. on Valley Road.
