PALMERDALE — The first annual “Ride for Kids in Crisis” was held Saturday beginning at Palmerdale United Methodist Church.
Riders of all skill levels were invited to the event. The purpose was to create awareness of the struggle to put an end to child abuse.
The event’s registration webpage said it was calling for “the entire spectrum of motorcyclists and bikers helping to create awareness of the struggle to put an end to child abuse. Imagine the message this will send throughout Alabama. No child should live in fear.”
The webpage also said participants were confronting abuse, while changing lives one mile at a time.
