TRUSSVILLE — Two Hewitt-Trussville Middle School students’ artwork placed in the African Wild Dog Art Contest for the Birmingham Zoo.
Tinley Waggoner, a sixth-grader, won first place in the middle school division. Katie Stanley, a seventh-grader, received honorable mention.
Both girls’ artwork will be on display in the predator building at the zoo all summer.
Waggoner’s artwork will also be on the zoo’s website, www.birminghamzoo.com. Waggoner was also awarded a zoo family fun pack: admission to the zoo, carousel and train rides, and lorikeet feeding.
