TRUSSVILLE — The Hewitt-Trussville varsity softball team Friday won the Class 6A, Area 12 tournament championship in resounding fashion.
The Lady Huskies beat Gardendale 15-0.
Senior Leigh McAnally, a Ball State University commitment, was named the tournament’s most valuable player.

Hewitt-Trussville is now 30-14.
Clay-Chalkville and Pinson Valley did not make the championship games in their area tournaments.
