TRUSSVILLE — The Trussville City Council last week approved a resolution authorizing the use of credit cards for cash bonds in Trussville Municipal Court.
Judge Carl Chamblee recently sought an attorney general’s opinion as to whether credit and debit cards could be used to post cash bail to release defendants from the Trussville City Jail. The answer was yes. The court will also accept credit and debit card payments for the collection of fines, costs and fees.
According to the approved resolution, the Trussville Parks and Recreation Department is also authorized to accept credit and debit card payments for rentals, registrations or other fees.
