FAIRFIELD — A mother is pleading for leads in the homicide of her 22-year-old Pinson daughter, according to WBRC.
Michelle Monroe Stewart spoke to WBRC about the death of Megan Elizabeth Monroe, found dead Saturday morning in Fairfield. Monroe was a Pinson native and had attended Hewitt-Trussville High School.
Stewart told WBRC that her daughter was a “sincere, fun loving young lady, outgoing at times.”

The Fairfield Police Department is seeking information in the death of Monroe.
Fairfield Police Chief Leon Davis urged anyone who saw or spoke with Monroe prior to her death to contact the Fairfield Police Department at 205-786-4111.
“Any information received will remain confidential and you will not be asked to identify yourself, but assistance from the public is needed to aid in bringing closure to this family,” Davis said.
