JEFFERSON COUNTY — Paving on Sunday night and Monday morning along Interstate 459 in the Irondale and Trussville areas will require nightly double lane closures.
Beginning at 6 p.m. Sunday, the northbound left and center lanes were closed from near Grants Mill Road to the U.S. 11 interchange near Interstate 59, according to the Alabama Department of Transportation.
Lanes will reopen at 6 a.m. Monday. The same schedule will be repeated through the week, though on Saturday lanes will re-open at 9 a.m.
Drivers should expect delays during the lane closures. ALDOT urges drivers to use caution around work crews in the area.
