TRUSSVILLE — The Trussville City Council last week reappointed Bill Roberts to the Trussville City Board of Education through May 25, 2019.
Roberts was first appointed to the board of education in 2009 and has been the board president since May 2010.
Roberts was happy to continue to serve in the role, which recently has included work to move forward with a new football stadium and two new community elementary schools.
“It’s an honor and privilege to stay and help finish the work that we’ve started,” Roberts said.
Trussville City Councilman Perry Cook said Roberts has been a “great asset” in moving Trussville City Schools forward.
“Thank you for your service and thank you for your continued service,” Councilman Brian Plant said to Roberts during this week’s city council meeting.
